Not only does each Variable Annuity allow you to invest in your choice of funds, Variable Annuities allow you switch between sub-accounts and sub-account managers so you can move your money based on where you think the most profit may be found.

You can switch into growth stock sub-accounts, bond sub-accounts, international sub-accounts,  money market sub-accounts, and others. You decide, based on your investment objectives and the ever-changing market.

Among key advantages sub-accounts investing (that you can benefit from in a Variable Annuity) are the sub-accounts are actively managed by experienced, professional money managers and there's also a tremendous level of diversification between different stocks within each of the sub-accounts. This translates into an opportunity to spread your investments out in different places and benefit from "not putting all of eggs and one basket." We feel that full-time, professional management and diversification are two key ingredients to investing successfully.

With most Variable Annuities there are no transaction fees, taxes, or other charges for switching.  And always takes toll-free phone call to make switch.

Of course, as longer-term investor you're probably not likely to switch everyday but it's nice to have the flexibility when you need it.
